Statement of Work (SOW) – Initforce
Effective Date: March 21, 2025
Every Salesforce engagement at Initforce is backed by a clear, detailed Statement of Work (SOW) — tailored to your project’s scope, timeline, and goals. While our Master Services Agreement (MSA) governs the legal framework, the SOW defines what we’re building together.
1. What’s in a Typical SOW?
Here’s what you can expect from our standard SOW format:
Section | Description |
---|---|
Project Summary | A high-level overview of what we’ll deliver and why |
Objectives | Specific goals, KPIs, or business outcomes tied to Salesforce |
Scope of Work | Detailed breakdown of features, configurations, integrations, and user stories |
Deliverables | What you’ll receive and what counts as “done” |
Timeline & Milestones | Project phases, target delivery dates, and review checkpoints |
Team & Roles | Who’s doing what — from our side and yours |
Assumptions | Clear boundaries on what’s included (or not) to avoid surprises |
Pricing | Fixed-fee or time-and-materials model with payment schedule |
Change Control | Lightweight process for reviewing out-of-scope requests |
2. Example Use Cases
We prepare a unique SOW for every client project, including:
- New Salesforce implementations
- Multi-cloud rollouts (Sales, Service, Experience Cloud)
- Org audits and optimizations
- Third-party app integrations
- Ongoing support and managed services
3. How Changes Are Handled
We understand priorities shift. That’s why we include:
- Scope flexibility: Small changes are often absorbed if they don’t impact timeline
- Change Requests (CRs): For larger changes, we’ll review the impact on time/cost and agree before proceeding
- Transparent tracking: We use tools like Jira, Trello, or your preferred system
